What kinds of lace are there
Lace
Sometimes, it is a little decoration of the skirt edge, bringing more elegant skirt shape
Sometimes, it is an extension of the cuffs, with a more elegant silhouette
Sometimes, it appears on the side of the neckline, emphasizing the charming shoulder neck lines
As an embellishment of women's clothing, lace has always played an elegant, delicate, sexy, pure and other overlapping amorous feelings in the fashion world.
The original lace fabric is composed of pattern and lining cloth, and is generally made of silk, cotton and chemical fiber. The higher the silk content, the more precious the lace fabric is, because its luster is the most comfortable and natural, which is also the most vulnerable fabric. It should be waterproof, anti-static, anti-aging, and alkaline corrosion resistant... Sometimes, it needs to be carefully cared like love.
But there are many kinds of lace.
Many people are not very familiar with some of its features
1. Elastic lace fabric (polyamide ammonia, polyester ammonia, polyamide cotton ammonia, etc.)
The elastic lace is mainly made of nylon, so you can also identify the lace with the burning property of nylon.
Because nylon is not a natural fiber, it is chemically synthesized, so if you put the flame close to the lace, it will shrink and melt very quickly. When it shrinks to a certain extent, it will burn immediately, and the speed is also very fast.
2. Non elastic lace fabric (all nylon, all polyester, nylon cotton, polyester cotton, all cotton, etc.)
There are many kinds of compositions of elastic free lace fabrics, which can be generally divided into polyester, nylon, polyamide cotton, polyester cotton, and cotton. Among them, polyester, nylon, and cotton are generally dyed in a single color, while nylon and polyester cotton can be dyed in two colors.
Lace is generally mixed with a variety of textile yarns, ranging from 3 to 10. The unique weaving method can form endless patterns.
polyester fiber
Generally, the lace of polyester is hard to handle. It's easy to distinguish when you start.
Nylon or nylon+spandex
Judging from the handle, nylon is much softer than polyester, and the texture is also good. In addition, the elasticity of spandex is greater and the handle is smoother.
Cotton (nylon cotton/polyester cotton/cotton)
The combustion method is the fastest and most accurate way to distinguish between cotton and chemical fiber.
Note: Of course, the price of most lace ingredients:
(Low) polyester<spandex<nylon<cotton yarn (high)
Car bone lace
The thick patterned piping brings a mellow texture, which is soft and elastic like fresh cotton. It can show the mature and sweet female demeanor, and the luxuriance it brings is low-key and substantial.
Embroidery lace
Lace patterns are all embroidered patterns. Through the texture and color of the embroidery thread, the lace can also have a Chinese style charm like ink painting.
Embossed lace
Lace fabric itself has multi-layer superimposed three-dimensional patterns, rather than post production. Such three-dimensional fabric is very exquisite in technology, and the price is more than 1000 yuan per foot.
French eyelash lace
The eyelash lace not only has a fine eyelash edge, but also has a mesh pattern as thin as cicada wings.
It cannot be cleaned, and the "cicada wing" is too fragile. Any cleaning will cause devastating damage to it. The orthodox "eyelash" texture, if you look carefully, you will find that it is strands, a little like the cylindrical structure of cotton thread, rather than the thin chemical fiber.
Elastic lace
Blended with elastic fiber, it is most suitable to reflect the graceful figure of women.
Water soluble lace
Water soluble lace is a kind of lace pattern woven on a backing paper with polyester thread or viscose filament, and then the backing paper is dissolved with higher temperature water, leaving only the body of lace. The number of water-soluble lace needles is more, and the cost is higher.
Crochet lace
Use the crochet to hook the lace with the hole pattern. Such as Irish handmade crocheted lace.
Embroidery lace
A perforated pattern made by pulling out part of the warp or weft of the base cloth and knitting the remaining yarn on a complete piece of cloth through the lace drawn and knotted.
We can judge the quality of lace by the evenness of color.
And the firmness of fiber. Firmness or not directly affects the fineness of the lace workmanship, which is the key to maintain the constant crack. Carefully find the tightness of the thread head to judge whether the lace is good or not.
Grade division:
High grade: Rolls Royce in lace is Levi's lace.
The real French Nuoyang lace is the most ancient and sophisticated lace in the world; High grade handmade lace requires manual operation of equipment, ancient weaving, and pure manual processing. The process is extremely complex. The production cycle is long and the output is low. It is mainly used for international top brands and luxury brands; The ones that stars wear on the red carpet are basically Levi's.
Medium grade computer lace (lace commonly used by first and second tier brands):
Easy snagging; The three-dimensional, layered and permeability are obviously inferior to Levis lace. The process is relatively simple and the use of lines is relatively economical; General structure fastness and medium color fastness; A better computer lace fabric will start to pilling and deform within 3 months of being worn close to the body. A worse lace is easy to become loose, and the spandex yarn runs outward and loses elasticity. It feels soft. The lace mesh structure is much thinner than Levis.
Ordinary lace:
Soft and loose, with general elasticity, no three-dimensional sense, unclear pattern, and opaque lace. Basically, it starts to run out of spandex after washing it once or twice.
